Abrasive belt PS 61 F – for rough as well as intermediate and finish sanding on steel and stainless steel

The abrasive belt PS 61 F by Klingspor sets itself apart with its high performance and exceptionally long service life. It proves to be the perfect solution for processing steel and stainless steel. Available as a short belt, a long belt, and as a wide belt as well as a segmented version, the product comes with a large number of grit sizes ranging from rough to fine. Its outstanding properties make this abrasive belt suitable for a wide range of different areas such as

  • apparatus construction,
  • enclosure construction,
  • the manufacture of canteen kitchens and
  • use in stainless steel service centres.

Thanks to the comprehensive selection of grit sizes available for this product, the abrasive belt PS 61 F is an excellent choice for rough as well as intermediate and finish sanding on metal. It excels especially when used in combination with long belt and wide machines.

With a fully synthetic resin size coat

The abrasive belt PS 61 F comes with a backing made of tear-resistant paper, which Klingspor categorises into weight groups ranging from A to G. The heavy paper used for this product is grouped into category F, allowing it to easily stand up to the more challenging requirements involved with sanding on steel and stainless steel. The abrasive grain is bonded with fully synthetic resin, which is distinguished by higher strength and adhesive force compared to glue or natural bonding agents. This strong bond is responsible for significantly improved grain adhesion, a factor that is critical to the excellent sanding results and service life of this abrasive belt.

With an abrasive grain made of hard, tough and self-sharpening ceramic aluminium oxide

The red ceramic of the abrasive belt PS 61 F is guaranteed to produce perfectly ground surfaces thanks to its close coating that covers nearly the entire surface. This coating ensures that the applied force is spread across a large number of grain points, allowing the user to produce a scratch pattern that is exceptionally uniform. Red ceramic proves to be exceedingly tough. Also self-sharpening, this sharp-edged and pointed abrasive grain is sure to increase the service life of the abrasive belt. Just like all other types of abrasive grains used by Klingspor, this grain is also the product of a synthetic manufacturing process. This synthetic production process allows the product to retain its exceptional grinding properties for a long time.
